2011 Already...?

Wow. Here we are again. Another new year. Where in the hell did this one go? It wasn't especially amazing or especially bad, but man did it go by fast. A lot has happened, good and bad, as well as indifferent. I feel like if nothing else, I've grown a lot, as has my relationship with David and my family. I graduated with my Master's degree, and celebrated 4 years of marriage to my amazing husband.

Rather than making the stereotypical new year's resolution, I've decided that I'm just going to commit to making this next year the best year that we can possibly make it. I am looking forward to trying to start a family with David, and see what this new year will bring for us. Happy New Year everyone!

Skype:

So I've had Skype on my computer for a while, because with David always working so late, he and I used to Skype occasionally when he would work a double and do overnights, but that was a rare occasion, and I'd kind of just forgotten it on the back burner. However, with all this talk of David potentially trying to go into the Navy, it's bringing me a little closer to my military wife friends, that are in other places of the country right now, and making me want to bring it on out of the woodworks. I'm very grateful to have friends that are willing to discuss their lives with me and help me on my way should this become a reality for us. Unfortunately, because they are so far away, meeting up with them isn't really an option, so I figure Skype might be a nice addition to our generic letters back and forth or facebook.

Loving My Nook!

I am so happy and so thankful that I got my Nook for Christmas!

I am absolutely loving it! I picked up a hard case

and reading light

for it with my giftcards, and ordered Portia DeRossi's book, Unbearable Lightness.

Currently, I am reading Dead Until Dark, and loving it too!

In other news, I'm feeling a little anxious, and excited. Excited about Elizabeth's wedding coming up, getting to see friends along the way, and getting to see new places, and seeing her get married to someone who I think is great for her, and she definitely deserves to be happy! Anxious because I'm trying to think ahead of what is to come in our life. Where we will be in the next year. How my Dr.'s appointment with the lady-Dr. will go next week...If we'll be able to get pregnant...If we'll be living here...If David will go into the military. I'm definitely excited with anticipation as to what our new life will bring. Here's to a new year and a fresh start!

This has been a long, amazing day...

This was quite possibly the best Christmas ever! I got pretty much everything I wanted, has great food, great company, and just all in all a great day. I think that the only downfall was my stupid sickness and the non-stop coughing, but overall, very happy!

Merry Christmas!

It is officially Christmas! Have a great one! Happy holidays!

And the verdict is in...

He took a camera and put it up my nose and apparently the inside of my nose is completely enflamed. And apparently I have a deviated septum? Interesting. He wrote me a prescription for antibiotics, steroids, cough medicine, and two others. He said that if I take them, I should be good for Christmas, which is good. I'm about over all this mess. Bleh.

Sick and Tired...

So David and I have been sick for the past week or so and it's killing both my ability to sleep and to breathe. I've got all kinds of drainage and a cough that hurts. Going to the Dr. today finally because this was the earliest he could see me. I'm just anxious to get rid of this crap. :(

Simply Amazing:

Tuesday David and I got to go to Disney for free! We started at Magic Kingdom, then went to Hollywood Studios, and ended by watching Candlelight at Epcot. It was freezing outside, but it was a GREAT day! Here's a pic from in front of the Osbourne Family Spectacle of Lights!

What A Great Weekend..

Yesterday David, Renee and I went to Seaworld for their Christmas celebration before our tickets expire at the end of the month. It was really pretty! We had a lot of fun and rode Kracken a ton of times. There was a nice ice skating show and lit up trees, and we had chocolate covered deliciousness. :)

Then today, we got to go see Transiberian Orchestra with my parents and it was AMAZING! They had this awesome light show, lazers, pyrotechnics, flame throwers, and more! The electric guitars were awesome, as was the main violinist. Insane! I loved it!

And The Winner Is...

Me! Woo Hoo! I got a B on my final, and an A in the course! I'm so excited!! And proud of myself! Now I really want to take German 2. We'll see how it goes and if I can make enough from the scarves to cover it! :)

Wish Me Luck!

Off to go take my German final!! :)

So Happy!

I found a bunch of pictures that I thought I lost a long time ago! So happy!

Making Some Changes:

So I've decided to make some changes in my life. Obviously you can see that I started with my hair. Haha, with all changes that women make, the first is the hair. Next, I am going through all the friends that I can remember having a falling out with and correct it. It doesn't mean that we have to pick up where we left off and be best friends, but I want them to know from my end that I'm sorry for anything I may have done and said in the past, that I either didn't mean then, or no longer mean.

In other news, I got our invite for Elizabeth's wedding today, and I'm very excited! Jim will make a great addition to the family. I do wish that they lived a little closer though. I'd love to have the type of relationship with David's siblings that he has with mine, but it's hard when one is M.I.A., one has 8 kids, most with special needs, two live far away, and the other is never around. It sucks a little bit, but such is life I guess.

Picked up my Christmas lights and decorations from my parents' today, and while we aren't going to have a tree this year, I at least want to try and decorate the outside of the house a little bit and make it feel a little bit more Christmasy.

With all of the scarves I've been making, I've been slacking on the scrapbooking stuff, but this weekend is Renee's 18th birthday, and I'm sure I'll have a ton of photos to use for it! We need to go to another of Usty's games too, so I can make a soccer one for him like I did with the football games that we went to.

In other exciting news, I can't wait until Dec. 12th! My parents and David and I get to go see the Transiberian Orchestra at the Amway Arena!

Today What A Beautiful Day!

Today was a beautiful day! The breeze was nice, all of my football teams won, and FSU won against the gators for the first time in 10+ years. I got to hang out with Naner and Rachel, got new orders for more scarves, and got my hair cut! :) I'm loving it! Tomorrow more working on scarves, and probably watching movies. Not really sure. Maybe I'll read some more.

Today Is Going To Be A Good Day...

I have decided. Today we are going to go mow (I think), pick up some scarves that Marj helped me with (THANKS MARJ!) and get some scarves shipped out today. After over a week of being sick, and having a very sick family, David and I are perfectly good again, and my family is working on getting there. Today is my cousin Mary's 16th birthday, tomorrow is David and I's 4 year wedding anniversary, and Thursday is Thanksgiving. To top it all off, I've finished all but 1.5 scarves from my current orders, which means I can take a break for a day, and then started on a second round of orders! It's been exhausting, but it's given me something to do, and I so thankful for the high response! :) Yay! I did something right. Haha. Now I just really really really want to learn how to make a beanie so that I can make those and sell them to match! :) Well, going to go get started on the rest of my day! Have a great one!

Productive and Exhausting:

Today we had a garage sale that went rather well, thanks to my mom. :) However, she came over at 6:30am to help me set up, and it was 4am when I finally made it to bed, and by that time I realized that if I fell asleep, I wouldn't wake up. So I've now officially been up for 35 hours and am exhausted.

Looking forward to Thanksgiving this week and our 4 year anniversary! :) Now to just go and rest.

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

Still Sick and Working Hard..

Still feeling kind of crappy, but working hard doing chores, cleaning out the garage for the garage sale on Saturday, getting things ready for the garage sale on Saturday, and working on scarves. Bleh. The good news is, that I got my first two scarves sent out yesterday, and another one completed yesterday. I'm now on my fourth, and doing pretty well with them. I'm very excited. But now back to more cleaning and preparing.

Sick and Busy:

So two nights ago, David got sick, and has apparently so lovingly passed it on to me too. It's getting a little bit better for both of us, but still annoying, and am definitely looking forward to it being gone before the holidays.

I have officially finished two of the scarves and am approximately 1/4 of the way through the 3rd. More than likely I'll have it mostly done, if not finished tomorrow.

Today I picked up two more colors of yarn to work on two more of the orders after this one is complete, as well as a few sheets of poster board to make signs for our yard sale on Saturday. I also went to Waterford and applied for a bunch of jobs, and got applications for others that I'll have to bring one of these days soon.

Now just keeping busy with class, working on scarves, and counting down the days until our 4 year anniversary. :)

One Down, Nineteen to Go...

and my fingers are already exhausted. :)

Wow!

This is fantastic! Since I first posted this at like 11pm lastnight, I've now gotten 15 orders for scarves! How exciting! I never thought in a million years that I'd get anywhere near this much interest, or interest at all honestly...Went to Walmart and picked up some yarn this evening, and am working on order #1. One white scarf coming up...

Could Use Some Help..

I'm in need of money, and since I can't find a job,  with it getting colder, and Christmas/winter right at our door, I'm crocheting solid colored scarves for $10/each. They make great presents! I can have them done within a week's time. So if you want one, or know someone else who might enjoy one, please get in contact with me.

Update:

Tonight I've got a test in German, that I am simply not looking forward to. I've been doing so good, and this test just has too much, and my brain just can't get it in check. I'm feeling like I'm definitely going to bomb this one. :( Then next week is our Oral Test, which I feel I will do a whole lot better on.

We've got a whole lot coming up soon. This coming Saturday is David's birthday! Then the 20th we're having a garage sale, the 24th is our 4 year wedding anniversary, the 25th is Thanksgiving, December 3rd and 4th we're celebrating Naner's 18th birthday, the 9th is Dougal's birthday, the 16th is mine, then Christmas is the 25th. Man time is flying.

I need to start cleaning the house, and labeling things for the garage sale, and I need to get over to Waterford one of these days so that I can apply (in person, because the stores haven't learned about the internet yet) for the seasonal positions over there. Anything is better than nothing. Also, David has a job interview coming up with the Honors college, so keep your fingers crossed, and send us your prayers! :)

YELLOW!

So lastnight David and I had a much needed, very appreciated night out with some friends for her birthday. One of our friends covered all of us to go to Medieval Times, and it was awesome. :) We were on team yellow, and unfortunately, we lost, but it was good times anyway. Lots of yummy good, amazing company, and of course, an awesome picture for proof. :)

So..

Did I mention how much I adore the cold weather? Fires..smores...snuggling. :)

Oh Cold, How I Love Thee...

It is sooo breautiful outside today! Sunshine everywhere, and 63* with a low of 45*!!! I have been waiting for months and months for it to be like this again! I'm so excited. Now to go throw on my winter clothes, and get my butt outside to enjoy this gorgeous day! :)

Marines, and Navy, and Air Force, oh my!

So after getting to meet Elizabeth's fiance, Jim, David and I have been discussing the possibilities, or hopeful possibilities of David potentially entering the military. We're not sure if it's doable or not, but we're investigating it all, and then to decide which branch he'd even want to try for. So who knows...we will see.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

Voting:

Feeling kind of disappointed in the people that I know. Of my 260 facebook friends, only 22 have supposedly voted. Kind of sad really. I'm just glad that David and I got to do our early mail-in votes, and got it out of the way.

What A Day...

Today was a great day. We got together with David's family this afternoon for an early "Thanksgiving" celebration, as well as to celebrate my sister-in-law, Elizabeth getting engaged on Friday. :) All in all, it was a great meal, and nice to see family that we don't see very often. I do wish we saw them more often, but life happens. After lunch, David and I got to tag along with Marj, Elizabeth and Jim to see some of the most beautiful animals I've ever seen. It was amazing! Two gorgeous Siberian tigers, and they LICKED my hand!! :) Check it out!

Rant....

I'm tired of hypocritical crap, and over religious crap. There's a difference people between being religious and being ridiculous. So tired of people shoving it down other's throats. We don't do that crap to you, stop doing it to everyone else.

Long Week:

So it's been a long week. Mowing, painting, Renee's Homecoming, the football game,

Bruce's birthday, the Police Hall of Fame, grocery shopping, laundry, dishes, class.  Definitely been busy.

Today I went grocery shopping, and when I get home, I've got more laundry and dishes to do, and need to start cleaning up the house. I want to finish painting our hallway too, and get the door sweeps put on finally. Then the plan is to work on some more digital scrapbooking stuff from the football game, and maybe from the Police Hall of Fame.

Hoping that good things will be coming soon. Fingers are crossed.

Scrapbooking:

So I decided to add a scrapbooking tab to my blog at the top so that I can keep track of all the scrapbooking that I'm doing. Also, in scrapbooking news, I found out that I can scan actual scrapbooking papers and use them digitally as well. :) So now I want Joann's cards so that I can go get scrapbooking stuff. :) I've been taking a lot more pictures, and really enjoy doing this. So hit the tab, and check out the layout that I made today for the AIDS walk we did earlier in the year.

Breast Cancer Awareness!

So this month is breast cancer awareness month, and in support of it, AHS held a "Pink" game. Rachel, Naner, Usty, and I went to it, and took some pics. As a lot of you know, my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, and so I decided to put together a little digital scrapbooking of the Pink game in support of breast cancer awareness! Get checked ladies!

House Wants..

So I've had a lot of time with nothing to do late at night, so I've been bored and searching through Walmart and Target's websites, and creating my own little wish list of sorts for the house. Obviously, I've already mentioned the bigger things, like the wood laminate for the living room that we'd love to have, the privacy fence instead of the crappy chain link, the french doors instead of the old, half working sliders, and the new bathroom door instead of the current broken one, but these are more of the decorative, smaller items that I just fell in love with and thought I'd share with you guys! :)

A Family In Need:

Hey guys! I've recently been made aware of a family (mother and two sons) that are friends of the family are in need. They barely have money for their rent, and are having trouble scraping by for groceries. Sometimes they can't even get a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread. I'm trying to get some things together for them. If any of you have any spare cans or boxes of food that have been sitting in your pantry that you aren't using, and want to donate it, please get ahold of me! Every little bit helps! Thanks! :)

Wish Me Luck!

Today is our first German test, and I'm a little anxious about it. Renee and I have been using it between ourselves since the start of class, but tests in general make me rather nervous. So we're getting ready to go study again before class tonight.

I really want to get back into my crafting again as I've taken a few weeks off. I need to figure out how to make the beanie, and this bag that I have a pattern for. :) Also gotta get back to my cross stitch.

Thursday, September 9, 2010

Update:

So next Tuesday is most likely my last day working in the lab at BCC. Apparently BCC is as moronic as UCF and they didn't do proper paperwork and such, so I won't be paid for any of the time I've been here. In other news, I have a German test on Monday night and I'm not looking forward to it. Luckily we've got some odd jobs coming up here shortly to hopefully help bring in a little more money. I really need a job, and this is frustrating.

Good Times:

Today was a great day! I watched the FSU football game and we won! The Renee, Rachel and I hung out for a few hours, then me, David, and the sibs all went over to Meredith's to hang out and eat and play games. :) It was a lot of fun, and definitely needed. Now for a cookout tomorrow at my grandma's, Renee spending the night, and then another cookout on Monday at my parents. :) Dr. on Tuesday. :)

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

Oh My Gosh...

It's only Tuesday, and already it's a super long week. Sunday and Monday we had medical drama, then mowing, Cleo's appointment, work, a meeting at the police station, an SGA meeting, studying, and then thankfully the week ends Saturday with a nice relaxing game night at Meredith's. Also in other news, my new nephew is official tomorrow. :) He's a doll. Or rather, a ham. :) Well, off to try and relax and get some rest before I have to get up early for work tomorrow.

Just Want To Sleep...

Had a long crappy night lastnight, and now I just want to go back to bed and sleep all day. On the other hand, I feel like it should be cold out, and I should be in Tallahassee, walking around Lake Ella. It's a weird day I guess.

So Hungry!

I started my first official day of work today, and I'm doing really well I think. I just did an orientation for one of the spanish classes. It's been a pretty slow day, but good just the same, but needless to say, I am super hungry. I had a burrito and a meximelt at 12:20pm and that is all. I'm praying that when I get done here in an hour that there is still some dinner leftover from my dad's birthday at home. And on that note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!

In other news, we traded in the truck and one of our bikes today for a new truck for David, in order to a) upgrade and b) help us financially. (Sounds weird, I know, but it works). He got a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel truck. It's dark blue and really pretty. :) I'll have to show a pic later.

Sunday, August 22, 2010

Library:

I need to pay my library fees. I'm seriously craving books. Then I can get a card for Orange County, and get e-books. Just came home from Barnes and Noble, and could spend some serious cash in that place. It's not safe.

Update:

So tomorrow around 5 or 6pm I start my training in the language lab at BCC. I just hope that my financial aid appeal gets processed soon that I officially have the job and receive payment.

Had a nice cookout with my family lastnight. Yummy pepper jack cheeseburgers, hotdogs, veggie casserole, and rice n' peas. :) Mmm. Then when unwanted company arrived, we (David, Doug, and I) came home back to our house and played a few hours of Super Mario for Wii. Now my thumbs hurt. lol.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I finished my scarf two days ago. Although the picture isn't the greatest quality.

Also, we've decided that until we're able to knock down the hallway wall and do the renovations that we'd like to do, we're going to turn our old office into a craft room for me. :) So if anyone has any old yarn, patterns, scrapbooking stuff, needs, etc. that they don't want, and aren't going to use and want to donate it to the craft room, hit me up. :)

Off to do laundry. Catch up again later!

Thursday, August 19, 2010

Maybe, maybe not...

So I may or may not have a very part-time job at the school in the language lab. It's minimum wage, and is only for a few hours, 3 days a week, but seems somewhat promising as long as I get the financial aid people to figure their crap out. The lady said I'd be a shoe-in. So wish me luck and send me your prayers!

Big Thanks!

Thanks to Marj, I now know how to crochet scarves, and I'm halfway done with one for Renee, then I'll have to make myself one for winter. I'd love to make matching beanies, but that will have to wait until the scarves are finished! I'm really excited tho! It's a lot of work, and my hands hurt, but I'm really happy about it. I'll post pics once it's all done!

Monday starts our German class and I'm really excited for that too! Yay! I can't wait!

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Final Grades Are In!

I ended up with two A's, even though I was borderline C in one of them through most of it, which puts me as graduating with a 3.458! :)

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

It's Over!

I had a great graduation and got to spend a little bit of time with family and friends! Thanks so much to Bruce, Marj, and Meredith and Mike for coming out for graduation dinner with us!!! Glad we had you there!! Sorry the time was so short!!

Now I'm just trying to relax for a day, then heading to Marj on Thursday, and then the next week German I starts!

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Woo Hoo!

I got a 93% on my research paper! Yay! Now off to Tampa for a few days, then back Friday for graduation on Saturday! :)

Officially Done:

So I'm officially done with my classes. What a relief. That paper was horrendous.

Right Around The Corner:

It's weird. I'm really starting to feel old. I was thinking today about how when I lived in Tally, I went to a class on FSU's campus as a guest, and felt so young. I felt like FSU was so huge, and almost above me. It's weird. I felt dumb, or maybe just behind, because I was so young. Maybe it's because I was still working on my Associates, while the person I was with was finishing their Bachelors. I don't know. It's a stupid way to think about it, I guess. But here I am, just a few years later, and my world has completely turned upside down. I've gone through some of the worst moments in my life, and gained some of the best. And here I am, just a little more than a week away from graduating with my Masters. Who knew? I never thought I was smart enough. I guess I never gave myself enough credit. First I worried that I wouldn't pass the GRE, then I worried I wouldn't get accepted into a Masters program, then I worried that I'd fail, and almost didn't even bother apply. But here I am now with a 3.37 so far and almost finished. Then I think about us wanting to have children, and just how bad I want it, and how terrified I am that we won't be able to afford it. That I'll put us in huge debt by having children, or worse, we'll decide to wait and then wait some more, and before you know it, my dream of having children will have passed me by. I feel horribly emotional, and scared in every sense of the word. I know what I want, what I'd love to have, it just feels so completely out of reach. I'd thought that I'd have been able to find a job by now. If I had, we'd be able to do the things I want to do, and be where I want to be. It breaks my heart because I feel like a failure in a lot of ways, knowing that I can't help my husband financially. It makes me feel like a bad wife. I wish I had more to offer him. I've been reading a lot lately, trying to take my mind off of everything. It doesn't seem to help for long. I apply for jobs every day and it seems useless.

What do I want? Ultimately, I want to live in Tallahassee. I want to have a child. I want to teach at FSU or TCC. What stands in the way of everything? Money. I wish money wasn't worth so much. I wish money didn't have to be the deciding factor in allowing people to live their lives fully and happily. It always gets in the way. It's so frustrating.

Here graduation is...right around the corner, and I'm terrified. Everything I've put into these past 9 years feels like it's all for nothing. I can't help provide for my family, and I can't be where I want to be, doing what I want to do because of it. I wish I could help him out, and take some of it off his hands. He's a great husband. More than I could ask for. I just wish I could give that back to him.

Just Two Weeks Left:

My lord this went fast and this last two weeks is intimidating. I've got two quizzes, two discussions, and a paper due by the 1st. Bleh. I'm so anxious. I can't wait, but am scared too.

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Yay!

Just three more weeks of class. I can't wait to be done with it. Then since I've not been able to take any courses just for fun because I've done nonstop degree crap, I've decided to take German with Renee in the fall, and Sign Language with Renee and Meredith in the spring. :) Hoping it'll be fun and teach me something new. I've always wanted to learn a new language, and the sign language will help both with my kids, and Meredith's. :)

Sunday, July 4, 2010

Happy 4th of July!!

Yesterday we had a nice time at the neighbor's fourth of July party, then a Walmart trip. Then David and I just hung out. Today we got up, David mowed the front lawn, and I did laundry, dishes, and cleaned a bit for our friend who comes tomorrow to visit. Now we're at my parents' cooking steaks, rice and peas, veggie casserole, yeast rolls and watermelon for dinner. Then after dinner, we're heading to Meredith's for a little bit. Hopefully the weather will clear up a little so we can relax in the pool for a bit. Then pending how everyone feels, we'll go watch fireworks by the airport.

Friday, July 2, 2010

Long Weekend Ahead:

Had a great time in St. Augustine with the family on Tuesday! Here's a pic on the beach..

We even saw a seaturtle on the beach! It was beautiful! I didn't want to leave. Maybe we'll go back one of these days and stay the night on the beach. :)

Wednesday we mowed at Meredith's after David got home from work, and I got to play with the kiddos a bit.

Yesterday was a crappy day and it poured. Several times. Then David started working on a free mower he found, and sliced his finger on both sides.

Today has been alright. I read a bit, and am hanging with family. We're going to watch "The Bounty Hunter" here in a bit.

Tomorrow, we've got to take some stuff to the recycling place, and cooking. Then in the evening we've got a party at our neighbor's to go to.

Sunday is a cookout at my parents', Monday a friend of ours is coming to town, and Tuesday is somewhat up in the air. The boys want to go shoot, we may go to the bowling alley, and do another cookout, and then Wednesday I'm helping out with the kiddos at Meredith's. Good times.

Monday, June 28, 2010

St. Augustine Bound:

Heading to St. Augustine to hang out with my family tomorrow! I can't wait! I've been wanting to go back for a while now! Dinner with the sibs tomorrow night. Then mowing Wednesday or Thursdays. Then David has the weekend off! Yay!

Sunday, June 27, 2010

One Class Down, One More To Go!

Yay! So I took a test lastnight for my Capstone course, and got a 94% on it, and just finished my final and got a 92% on it, and ended up with a 97% in the class! Woot! Woot! So Capstone is done, now just have to finish out my Professionalism course. I've got a test today and a discussion. Bleh.

Cross Stitch Update:

Decided to show a little more of what I've done with the cross stitch. It's actually quite a bit further along now because I've worked on it again since I took the picture, but here it is. :)

Saturday, June 26, 2010

A Great Week Ahead:

Lastnight I watched "Full Metal Jacket" with David and Douglas, and cleaned the kitchen, and got all the laundry done. Today was a really good day. I woke up, went to the beach with Naner, came home, bathed Cleo and vacuumed. Then watched "My Sister's Keeper" with Naner, went to the grocery store, came home to my parents', helped make dinner, then watched "How to Train a Dragon" with my family, then Walmart with Naner. Tomorrow we go to pick up food from Angel Food Ministries, and going to work on the yard. I've got a test to take tomorrow, a test to take Sunday, and a final to take on Sunday. Then Tuesday, we're going to meet up with my family in St. Augustine for the day. I'm pretty excited. :) Also been working a lot on my cross stitch.

Lazy Yet Productive:

It's another one of those days, where I wish I'd just slept the day away. At least I'm being somewhat productive though. I've got a load of dishes washed, a load of laundry in the dryer, and have worked a bit on my cross stitch. I'm contemplating working on some school stuff here in a bit, and then get back to more cross stitch. I want to run to Barnes and Noble to get my book, but I just don't have it in me to drive so far this evening. Maybe we'll go get it tomorrow, after mowing. And in other news, I applied for a Criminal Justice instructor position at UCF. My two favorite professors are on the board, so my fingers are crossed. Also still waiting to hear back from the Juvenile Justice job. We'll see how it goes.

Woo Hoo!

So I called Winnie Palmer, and Winnie Palmer DOES take our insurance, and is actually pretty cheap, much cheaper than we thought it'd be. So after talking with Meredith a little, we're trying to do some digging into Dr.'s visit costs, and see what will be the best for us insurance-wise. But yay, a step in the right direction, and I couldn't be happier!

Just Two More Weeks:

So yesterday I finished 14 quizzes, and a main quiz for my Capstone course, and a test for my Professionalism course. I got straight hundreds on all my Capstone quizzes, and a C on my Professionalism one. :( I've currently got an 80% in that class, and it sucks, because I'm trying hard, but it's not making a difference. I'm just praying I'll make a B overall in the course. However, for my Capstone class, I've only got two weeks left, and have 13 quizzes, a main quiz, and my final to take. So yay! At least that class is almost done, then it's just my professionalism course that I've got to finish out! Thank God!

Friday, June 11, 2010

Productive Day:

So yesterday we mowed our back yard, I had my interview, we cleaned out/up the guest room, we cleaned up/rearranged Naner's room, and we cleaned/rearranged our room. :) And I got two loads of bedding washed. Today I've got two loads of clothes going, and the dishes going. Then I've just got a little homework to do, and then date night with Naner. Dave's for dinner and then Sex and the City 2 :)

Thursday, June 10, 2010

Interview:

Well the interview definitely went well, and if nothing else was a cool experience. However there are 145 applicants, so not really sure what my chances are, but they are hiring for 3 different positions. Fingers crossed!

Job Interview:

Well, getting ready to head to my job interview in about 15-20 minutes. I'm really nervous/anxious. Pray for me and wish me luck. I need it.

Getting There..

So I officially have a dentist appointment set up for June 29th. Haven't had one in almost 5 years. It's about time.

David and I have been talking about trying to start having a baby, and are trying to get some research done on it. We're looking around for a good OB/GYN that takes my insurance. Unfortunately the people that my sister in law and mother had take our insurance, but the local hospital doesn't. Complete bullshit. Not that I wanted to have my baby done in that hell hole that they call a hospital anyway, so I guess it works out for the best. So I've got two options for hospitals at the moment that we are looking at...Cape Canaveral and Winnie Palmer. If Winnie Palmer takes our insurance, I'd jump on that in a heart beat. So I've gotta give them a call one of these days to find out, and I found a OB/GYN that works for them. I came off of the pills last night, and we plan to start officially trying in a month or two. :) So pray for us and keep your fingers crossed!

So Tired...

Lord give me strength to finish out this semester with as much motivation and devotion as I've done the rest. I am so tired of school. Well, required courses anyway. I love electives, things I've actually interested in. I've love love love to take a course that's not actually related to my degrees. A foreign language perhaps. I'm just so freaking tired.

I've been reading all week long, and taking notes. I still have 7 more articles to read with notes to take, then have a discussion and a quiz due tonight at midnight. Thankfully my one class (my capstone course that I actually like) will be over to my knowledge at the end of this month so that I'm not stressing about two classes.

We mowed earlier at David's parents' and I've been working on school ever since. I'm thinking I'm going to take a break in a bit, head to my parents' for dinner, and relax a little before I continue on with all of this. Bleh. I want to play video games and work on crafts again. Just a little bit longer. Trying to fight through it, and get to the end. Which on that note, I am officially set to graduate on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 2pm. Unfortunately, we only get 5 tickets, but I'm hoping that I'll be able to find extras through others that won't need all 5. If I can only get 5, then I'd like it to be my parents, David, and David's parents. If I can find more, through the grace of God, I'd love to have my siblings there, and maybe do lunch or something afterwards. :) We'll see how it goes.

And Thursday, I have my interview with the Juvenile Justice Center, so wish me luck! But for now, back to reading and note taking...

Bored and Playing Around:

So I was bored last night and messing around, and this is what I came up with.

I figured since I don't have any babies of my own to do this for yet, I'll use my nieces and nephews. :)

Wants:

So one by one we've been slowly trying to make the changes we want to our house, but it's definitely taking time, and unfortunately most take too much money for us to afford at the moment, but I've been thinking about what all we want to do, and figured I'd start a list so that I have something to check off as funds become available. So here we go..

Privacy Fence
Wood Laminate for the Living Room
Ceiling Fan/Light for Master Bedroom
French Doors for Dining Room
Counter for Kitchen
Ceiling Fan/Light for Living Room

Beautiful Day:

So today was a beautiful day. We got up early, David, Douglas and Nick went to the range. I washed my car, and skipped on the beach after it poured on me. Then went to the grocery store with my parents. Went to David's parents' for lunch, and played horseshoes and croquet! I actually did pretty well and did my victory dance. lol. I did however step on a bougainvillea thorn, and it had felt fine until we got to my parents', where it then swelled up, stiffened, and made every muscle in my foot ache tremendously. Stupid poison. So now my foot will be mostly out of commission for the next week. :( Or at least, that's what happened when I got it stuck in my knee. Dinner at my family's was good. Now I'm sleepy. I'll probably catch a show or two, take a shower and head to bed. Then tomorrow we're picking up our mower from the shop, and maybe one from Meredith and Mike. Not sure what else the day will hold. Considering making a trip to Aldi for produce, but we'll see.

Sunday, May 30, 2010

Finally Done!

Read a ton. Got a bunch of quizzes taken. Got 100's on all of the quizzes. Then took my test, and got a 90% on it. Yay! Now I'm just going to relax and watching some "Ellen". Tomorrow morning, (hopefully) going to the beach with Renee, Katie, and Dustin. David, Douglas and Nick are going to the range to teach Nick to shoot. Then at 3pm, lunch at David's parents' house for Memorial Day. Then later in the evening, cookout at my parents'. :) It'll be a good, fun-filled day.

Another Busy Day:

Mowing at Meredith's here in a few. Then more reading, and 5 more quizzes to take. Then a test. This is exhausting.

Saturday, May 29, 2010

So Tired...

Got up somewhat early. Worked on a roof today. Working on homework. Just want to sleep.

Friday, May 28, 2010

Scored An Interview:

By the grace of God, I applied for a Juvenile Justice position, and an hour later I got a call for an interview. Wish me luck!

Bad Day..

I called to check on the status of the job, and it's already been filled. I can't even get a job at Bagel World. This is ridiculous. Get a grip people. I'm willing to work for the same pay and have more to offer.

Thursday, May 27, 2010

Hooray Color!

Home from the beach with Renee, Nick, and Katie. I finally am getting some color! Yay! Back again on Monday and can't wait! Now I'm home and going to try and get through some more chapters and quizzes. Then when David gets home, weather pending (stupid weather) we're mowing at his parents'.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Keep On Rollin..

Working hard on getting reading done, and taking quizzes. I'm ridiculously tired. Bleh.

Sunday, May 23, 2010

One Quiz Down:

I took my first quiz of my final semester today. I honestly can't wait for it to be over. It's already stressful. Last night, David, the siblings and I all went camping out at Buck Lake. We almost got attacked by what we think was a hog. We had delicious hot dogs, and a lot of fun. We got home around 9am this morning, and crashed for a little while before David had to head to work. I spent most of the day doing homework, and taking my first quiz. I also applied yesterday to Bagel World, and am hoping I'll get the job. David applied for a higher position at work, and we're praying he gets it too. So please send your good blessings this way, we could really use them!

Thursday, May 20, 2010

New Car and Job Application:

So we got my new car!

and tomorrow I'm going to go to one of our local bakeries to apply for a job. It'd be 7am-2pm, and pay $8-10/hr, so wish me luck! I also picked up my book for class today, so tomorrow I'll be doing a bunch of reading for my two final classes. :) I'm trying to be more productive.

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

We're Approved!

Yay! So today was a take care of things day. We dealt with David's bike to get fixed, dealt with the mower to get it fixed, called the Dr. to try and get their messed billing resolved from November still to no avail. Then we took my car down to Ron Norris, to see if we could get approved for a trade in on a four door. And low and behold, we got approved! So as of tomorrow at 10:30am, I will be the proud new owner of a 2008 Honda Accord EX. :) It's a four door that's a year newer, only 20k miles, multi CD player, mp3 reader, AUX input for my Ipod, sunroof, tint, lots of leg room, big trunk, etc! Very happy and excited. And to top it off, it lowers our insurance! So tomorrow we go pick that up, and then going to mow at David's parents' and possibly Meredith's, and then stopping by to take care of our passport stuff. :) It's a good day.

Monday, May 17, 2010

Home Again Home Again:

We had a great, long weekend in Miami! We met up with some friends and had a great time, ate great food, and didn't want to come home. lol. So glad we got to have a nice break though! Today starts the new semester! Wish me luck!

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Just Kidding...

We aren't bringing them home this weekend, because once again they can't figure their stuff out and just make a plan. It's getting frustrating. We're doing a good thing. Respect it, grow up, and make adult decisions and stick with them. Agh. All I can say is thank God for this break. Between that drama, my ex family, no job, and my final semester getting ready to start, the stress gets overwhelming.

Miami Bound:

Just one more day until we head out to Miami for our mini-vacation! I'm so excited and can't wait. It's much needed. :) Then Sunday evening we're picking up Greg and Kira and bringing them back with us. Then hopefully next week, God willing, we will be able to trade in my car, and replace it with something a little nicer that holds us all (future carseats and all) and will lower our monthly payments. I just pray that the finances all work and they'll allow us to do so. Then Monday when we get back my classes start again. Tomorrow David is going to buy my final book for me, and then I start my final semester. I'm so anxious and excited. I can't wait for it to be over.

Sunday, May 9, 2010

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day mommy and Marj!!

So our sink broke...

Well, our kitchen plumbing to be exact...but luckily I have an awesome husband who I'm proud to say, learned how to do some plumbing today and fixed our pipes as well as replaced our disposal. :) Thank god for men.

And Renee's prom was tonight, and she looked amazingly beautiful!

Thursday, May 6, 2010

Update:

Had a great time at Seaworld, and came home to ridiculous drama, but glad to have cut the trash out of my life. I can finally move on and not have people constantly putting me down, trying to get me depressed again. I'm better than that.

I can't wait for school to be over with completely. New classes start the 17th, and while I'm nervous/scared about it, I'll be glad to get it all out of the way.

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Update:

So tomorrow morning at 9am I have to drop my car off for an oil change, and David has to call about an issue with his bike. Then we're meeting up with our friend Mary, and going to Seaworld for a little while, so that will be nice. Right now I'm just trying to think ahead of what all I want/need to accomplish through the rest of the year.

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Getting Ready:

So I'm working on getting ready for the next semester. Classes start the 17th, and this will be my final semester. I have two classes left, and I'm really anxious/nervous about it. But I can't wait for it to be done. My plan for the next two weeks it to try and get working back on my cross stitch. I've been feeling uncrafty recently so I definitely want to get back on a roll with it. I also want to try and catch up on my scripture readings.

Tomorrow Renee and I are heading to the beach, then Tuesday I have to bring my car in for an oil change, and then Saturday is Renee's prom, and Sunday is mother's day. The week is going to go by fast I think. I'm hoping to try and get the house cleaned up a little bit as well.

Friday, April 30, 2010

So It's Official:

Two A's and a B. I'm not happy about the B though. It should have been an A. Pretty ticked off about it.

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

DONE!!

Okay, last quiz is taken, and I ended up with 2 A's for sure, and am waiting to find out how I did on my final for my other class. I'm hoping/thinking it's an A, but might be a B pending how I did on my paper. Finally! A break! I can't wait! Going to go relax and watching some TV. Oh DVR how I've missed you!

One Quiz Down:

and a drumroll please......another overall grade in the course with a 99.4%! woot! woot! Just one more quiz left, that I'll take once we're back from dinner. :)

Almost Free:

Paper and powerpoint are done and turned in. I'm soooo over it. I've just got two quizzes left tomorrow, and then I'm DONE!! Then I have two weeks of break before I start my next semester. A break will be nice. I will definitely be spending some time at the beach and getting in some relaxation before the stress of my final semester begin.

Monday, April 26, 2010

Stupid Paper:

I've been working towards this stupid paper all day long, not to mention the other time I spent this past week stressing out about it. It's due tomorrow night, and it feels like it will never end. I keep having to take breaks every now and then because it's overwhelming. I've been somewhat productive though. I got a load of towels done and put away, a load of clothes in the wash and one in the dryer, and the dishes put away. Just a little bit more to do. I need to remember to put out food for tomorrow's dinner.

Rain, Rain, Go Away:

I am seriously hating this storm right now. It scares me to be honest. And on top of that, I'm home alone because David is working a double overnight. :( So I'm sitting here trying to keep busy with my paper and watching TV trying to take me mind of the storm, but then my power flickers and it thunders, and I'm just really hating it. :( No sleep for me tonight. At least maybe I can get more laundry or something done. Who knows. I at least got the dishes taken care of.

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Long day...

We got up at 6:30am this morning to head to Orlando for the AIDS walk. I was so proud of our team! Carrie and I both got shirts, and our team got over $400 in donations. It was amazing. Had lunch with Mary, then came home and went to mow at Meredith's and then at David's parents' house. Now I am just super sleepy, but still have homework to work on, so I'm off to work on that until I get so tired I pass out.

Thursday, April 22, 2010

A.l.m.o.s.t.d.o.n.e....

Well, I've been working hard on getting the last bit of schoolwork done. I've been working on this stupid paper which is taking up the majority of my time now. That is due on Tuesday as well as a power point presentation of the paper as well. Then Wednesday I have two quizzes, and tomorrow I have a discussion due, which I've been working on, and am finally almost done with it. Thank God. I am so over all of this and I cannot express how happy I will be when it's done and I have like two weeks of break before starting my final semester. So far I've felt like this semester was my hardest because I took three classes instead of two, and because the one class is just awful, but I'm definitely thinking that this coming semester will be the worst even though it is just two classes. I am both anxious and terrified. I keep stressing out which is not helping my sleeping habits or eating for that matter. But now I'm going to go and get back to the discussion, and try and get it turned in tonight instead of tomorrow.

Doug and Renee's Karaoke

Mom's Karaoke

Dad's Karaoke:

Relay for Life and More:

Yesterday was a busy day. We got up early to go to my parents' company picnic at Fox Lake Park. We got our faces painted and my family did karaoke. We ended up leaving there around 2pm-ish. Then at 4pm, Renee and I headed to THS for Relay for Life. It was a lot of fun! We did belly dancing, and Zumba, and a bunch of laps, and ate a ton of food. The best parts were the potatoes and the cupcakes. MMMMMM...Made several new friends and just had a blast. I even did karaoke. :) While we did RFL, David, Dougal and Nick went camping for the night at Buck Lake. Renee and I ended up heading home around 4:20am-ish this morning, and I ended up getting home around 5am, and went to bed at like 6am since David wasn't there. He came home around 8:30am and we crashed. At 2:45pm he headed off to work for a double shift, and I headed to my parents to watch movies with Naner. Now I'm still just hanging at my parents' for another hour or so, then heading home to a lonely night. I'll probably just watch TV or something, maybe work on my cross stitch some. Then this week and next I have to write a paper, do a discussion, and take two quizzes, then I'm completely done with school till next month! :) Yay! Thursday Renee and I are going to the beach, and Saturday is the AIDS walk, and then I get to take a break. Oh! I also got my grade back on my confinement project/paper. 100%. Hell yeah!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Fort Christmas:

I must warn you, there are a lot of pictures from Fort Christmas. If you click on the "Photo Album" link above, you can see a bunch of them. There are still more to come though.

Picture Catch-up:

So I'm way behind on pictures, so I decided to finally post some. These are just a few of the cutest pics of Cleo getting a haircut from Daddy. :) She's my sweet little cuddle-bunny.

Friday, April 9, 2010

Update:

Greg and Kira are officially moved in. :) Everything is going great. It's really nice to have family/friends and have some extra help around. Wednesday we gave them the tour of Titusville, and we went out to Fort Christmas for a little bit and took lots of pix. Then Thursday I had to drive them back down because Greg had a Dr.'s appointment. Today Kira did the dishes, and Greg and David worked on the shed while Kira and I cleaned up the patio and patio furniture, and took out the vines off my fence. Tomorrow, I'll move all the yard trash up front, and probably mow the back yard. Then in the evening we're having a cookout at my parents. :) Life is good.

Monday, April 5, 2010

Excitement:

Tomorrow we're heading to Ft. Lauderdale to pick up Greg and Kira. I'm pretty excited. :) I really hope everything works out as well as we think it all will. And now I'll have someone who can help me take care of things around the house that need to be done, like finishing the crown molding, and painting the rest of the house. And hopefully one of these days, I'll find a job, and then we can afford to finally replace the broken door, and the sliders with french doors.

Tonight I need to take care of laundry and dishes again. Other than that, the place is pretty much ready to go. And I've got the majority of my homework done for the next two weeks, so I've actually got a little time to myself.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Happy Easter!

Today is Easter! So Happy Easter everyone! Got up early to finish an assignment that is due tonight, and to make the casserole for the big dinner at my grandma's house. The food was good, and a lot of family is here. We're all sitting around playing ping pong. Right now I'm just really tired and needing a nap. I was able to pick up my prescription today which is good, and David moved some of the furniture around in the guest room for Greg and Kira. Now he's at work, and I'm just chilling, waiting to head to my parents' for the evening, for a movie perhaps.

Yay!

So I ordered my gun today! Can't wait! So excited! Went grocery shopping for the next week or so, and for my casserole that I have to make for Easter dinner tomorrow. And mowed at Meredith's and got to play with Lynae for a few. :) So cute. Took of a pic of her up in the air smiling. :)

Tomorrow we've got Easter dinner, and I need to pick up a prescription. Then Monday we mow at David's parents' house and then Tuesday we pick up Greg and Kira. Very exciting! It will be a nice week.

Friday, April 2, 2010

Update:

Went to the beach yesterday with Naner and Nick, and it was beautiful. I can't wait to go back. We got a pass so after the shuttle goes up this weekend, I'm definitely going back out there, and I know David has been wanting to start surfing again. :)

Just finished all but one of my assignments that are due Sunday night. I just have one discussion left, thank God.

Tuesday David and I will be last minute heading to Ft. Lauderdale to pick up my cousin, Greg, and his wife, Kira, who will be staying with us for a while.

Then Sunday is Easter, and I'm making casserole for my family's dinner. Right now I'm just taking a break, and then going to head to the grocery, and finish cleaning up around here, then hang out at my parents' later this evening.

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Bum Day:

Naner, Nick and I were gonna hit the beach today, but it still hasn't quite got warm enough yet, and we've gotta be here for the fridge guy, so we're gonna wait till tomorrow. So now we're just hanging out, watching Canadian TV. Just had some tasty pasta for lunch.

Monday, March 29, 2010

Long, Productive Day:

Spent all day doing homework and reading for class. I've gotten several chapters read, a discussion completed, and almost my entire web chat done. I've got some laundry done and folded, and I have another load in the dryer. I still need to put away the dishes, and start another load, and do a load of towels, but I'm getting there.

Tomorrow going to work on some things around the house. Going to try and work on the crown molding in the bedroom again, and work on the garage some more, maybe mow, and clean up the patio.
