March 2019:

March started off with our offer being accepted on a house. A strange house on a beautiful 5.15 acre property just minutes from David's sister and all the cousins and an hour from his parents.

On the 6th, I woke up at 5:30am having contractions every 30 minutes which continued till around 5:30pm. I knew it was time so my parents drove up from Florida and headed straight to the hospital. We'd decided to take the girls for one last hurrah to an indoor play place. In the hour we were there the contractions went from every 30 mins to every 5. We headed home to pack up, then drove to the hospital 30 mins away. I was 3-4 mins apart for the drive. My parents had just beat us to the hospital. I got inside and they took off with me in a wheelchair since I was pre-registered and had called ahead. They got me in a room pretty quick. Within 2 hours, baby Everest made his entrance into this world. He was born at 10:20pm and a few mins of pushing. He was 8 lbs and 13 oz and 21.75" long, 8 days early. ;)

Unfortunately after being misinformed about the status of my GD, Everest's blood sugars were not maintaining solely on breastmilk, and less than 24 hours after birth was taken from me to the NICU. Thankfully within another 24 hours we had him where he needed to be and were able to be released to go home.

While my parents were still in town, we made sure to get the kids out for a little to keep things as normal as possible.
