The year started off with a lovely date night with the hubs (thanks to Carrie!) We had a great dinner at Olive Garden, and followed it up with cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, and to the movies to see La La Land. It was very much needed time together.
I got to take part in a little promotional video to help our friend, who is opening a new studio, to raise money for said studio. It was a lot of fun!
We got Christmas put away.
I started feeling my depression pretty hard.
I got briefly inspired to do RunDisney and started running in the neighborhood at night.
I attended Pole Instructor training.
Due to the depression and my plateau, I decided to take a break from pole, and turned to other forms of fitness.
I finished my pole instructor test, and got certified (although, still waiting for my certification paperwork as she's been super busy.)
We celebrated Goose's 5th birthday!
I turned my focus to balance training.
I started taking Italian lessons through an app on my phone.
I took a DNA test through Ancestry.com that my in laws got for me.
Not to be outdone by her sister, Rosalie split her chin open. Thankfully she did not need stitches.

We took a day visit for a late birthday gift to the San Antonio Zoo. We also got to take a small train ride from the beautiful park next to the zoo.
I treated Goose to a mother/daughter date to a Moana painting class! We had a lot of fun and she did an amazing job!
Daddy flew to California for a few days, so we spend our times at the parks and McKinney State Falls.
After he came back, we spent a rainy day at Pioneer Farms.
With my sister's first baby being born soon, I decided to make him an Ogre named Otto, after our late grandfather. My girls became hooked and didn't want to give him up.
Carrie had a weekend off, so we took a trip to Wildseed Farms,
and visited LBJ Ranch.
My new nephew, Donovan was born, so I flew to Florida to meet him. It was a tough trip as it was my first time away from my girls, but it was really nice to spend time with family.
After I returned home, we hit up some new (to us) parks..
and did a day trip to Ladybird Wildflower Center to get one last set with the beautiful bluebonnets before they disappeared.
That closes out March. Until we meet again. :)
