Family Update:

Sophia is officially 2.5! My baby girl is getting so big! She now is wearing 2T/3T clothing and wears a size 7 shoe. She weighs 25.7 lbs. and is 35.75 inches tall.

The past two months were relatively busy. We had a short playdate with her cousins, N and A. :)

We had a playdate at the park with our friends E & K. :)

We got to have a 3D ultrasound done to see baby Rosalie.

Sophia participated in a 6 week (which ended up being 4 weeks because she was sick and then we were on vacation) gymnastics class that she LOVED!

We had yet another playdate with M & C & H at the bowling alley for free summer bowling!

And then off we went on our long adventure to Gatlinburg for David's family reunion!

We stopped in Savannah for a nice picnic lunch.

We did a lot of site seeing.

We made our first trip to Cade's Cove.

And then decided to make the small hike up to Laurel Falls.

Sadly, someone fell asleep just before we got to the falls.

Sophia also got to attend her first baseball game. She LOVED it, especially the clapping parts! It was minor leagues with Smokies playing against Jacksonville of all places.

The next day, we decided to check out another scenic drive and stopped to do a short trail called Noah Ogle's Place. We'd been warned many times, that while we were there (on a separate side trail) that there was a momma bear and two cubs.

Then we made the bad good decision to hike another trail (one much longer, and 2500 ft up a bunch of rocks) to visit Rainbow Falls. There it decided to pour hard on us twice, and got pretty darn cold, and very very slippery/muddy. It ended up taking us about 4.5 hours. Needless to say, afterwards I was wet, hungry, tired and super sore, but it was definitely beautiful. We didn't get nearly as many pictures though because of the storms.

This is the beautiful view that we got to wake up each morning to.

Sophia LOVED spending time with her cousins. She played with them every day and was very sad when it was time to go.

We decided to go back to Cade's Cove with David's family.

The next day we took the kids to the Ripley's Aquarium. I wasn't sure what to expect of it, but I actually really enjoyed it. She got to touch horseshoe crabs and jellyfish, and we got to pick out a geode and break it. It's beautiful.

Afterwards, we split off, and decided to walk down the strip to check out some of the shops and pick up some moonshine. :)

On Friday was the Family Day portion of the trip. It rained a little, but all in all turned out really well. So glad with the result.

The next day, David joined some of his cousins for indoor skydiving, and his sister and I took the kids to a craft festival in downtown.

Afterwards we took Sophia to the Island so she could ride the massive indoor ferris wheel that she'd been asking for all week.

Afterwards, we met up with our friend for a half day at Dollywood!

Sunday it was time to get up early and head home.

On the drive home we made a last minute decision to stop at the Biltmore since we weren't sure we'd ever be back to do it again.

Then we headed home for the week.

Before heading over to Anna Maria Island for the weekend with my family. Saturday we went out on the pontoon boat.

Sunday we spent mostly just hanging out on the pool before heading home.

Lastly this month, we returned for our final 3D ultrasound to see baby Rosalie.
