4 Months Old

Today Sophia is 4 months old! For those that are counting, that's 1/3 of a year old already! She's got so much personality, and has learned to do so much!

This month she learned how to roll from her back to her tummy going both ways!

She learned to grab things like toys and teethers. She's teething in addition to that. And she's learned to eat her toes! Haha. And I swear she's said "hi" and "yes." David heard it too. She's so close to crawling and so close to sitting up by herself, and standing too! I'm so proud of her!

(Watching Daddy make dinner)

She heads to the Dr. on Monday for her 4 Month check-up and next round of shots. :/

She's been really enjoying spending time with her daddy. Yesterday she sat happily while watching him make biscuits. :)

Seriously, I have the best daughter in the world. I'm so blessed.

Sewing Away..

So now that I've got a sewing machine and learned to sew and iron, I decided to start a few projects. By a few I mean 11. Two were for Sophia. I finished the first, and the second is SO close to done. The other 9 are projects I'm working on for someone else. I'll definitely be posting pics when they are finished. :) I'm just hoping they all turn out the way that I'm envisioning.

Rough Day..

So it's been a pretty rough week day. Sophia hasn't been sleeping as good as she had been, which means I'm not sleeping well either. The weather has been crap, and today Sophia is just cranky. Nothing is making her happy. She doesn't want to eat, or sleep, or cuddle, or do anything really. It's frustrating, on top of the weather making me depressed feeling too. :/ I'll be so happy once David is home from work. I could really use another hand today.

*Update*

Well in good news, Sophia and I went for a walk around the neighborhood, which was tiring since I had to carry her, but it seemed to at least help a little bit. She was happy being outside in the slight breeze, and when we came back I was able to force her to eat, which in turn made her fall asleep. Granted, it was only for 30 minutes, but when she woke up, she was back to being her normal happy self. Now she's playing on her playmat, and we're waiting for Daddy to come home.

My First Mother's Day

Today has been great! I woke up to David doing a happy dance in the bedroom, holding a card. It was a very sweet card. Then Sophia woke up and he gave me my present! (A beautiful pair of white gold yellow diamond earrings). Then we got up, and began the process of getting ready. We headed to my parents', where he grilled some delicious chicken, in addition to the ribs he made last night, and we had a big family cookout lunch. :) I got a huge thing of diapers and wipes, three outfits for Sophia, a birthstone charm for my bracelet and a future shopping spree for post-pregnancy clothes! (Since even my pre-pregnancy jeans are now falling off me!) I am definitely the luckiest mom/daughter/wife in the world! I love my family so much!!

Now, the extended family has gone, and David has headed to work. Now begins the start of "girl's night!" Mom, Renee, Sophia and I are going to watch "The Vow," "New Year's Eve," and "It's Complicated!" I can't wait!

Happy Mother's Day!

I just wanted wish you lovely ladies out there a very Happy Mother's Day!!
